Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy dreams of Pakistan's first Oscar

Film maker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy has just won her first and Pakistan’s first Oscar. Her documented movie Keeping Experience, co-directed by US-based Daniel Junge, follows Pakistani physician Mohammad Jawad who functions re-constructive medical procedures on acidity harm heirs in Pakistan.

In her popularity language Chinoy said she expected her movie will speak out loud for others in Pakistan.

“It is a tale of wish with a highly effective concept for the Pakistani viewers. I sensed this would be an excellent way to demonstrate how Pakistanis can help other Pakistanis get over their issues,” she said.

Dawn.com found up with the Oscar successful documented manufacturer before she eventually left for Los Perspectives to go to the Academia Prizes. Here Chinoy talks about her own dreams as a film-maker, her documentaries and what keeping Experience method for Pakistan.
